With experience in project finance and renewable energy matters, James T. Tynion III counsels clients on financings and investments. He focuses his practice in the energy and related infrastructure industries, and represents companies in construction, term and tax equity project financings, greenfield development, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Jim has been active in the US wind energy industry for more than 25 years, and is one of the pioneers in the developing wind, solar, and renewables tax equity, finance, and M&A markets.

Recognized by Chambers USA and The Legal 500 in renewable and alternative energy law as well as project finance, Jim speaks at several renewable energy conferences each year. His energy industry clients include lenders, developers, private equity and institutional investors, contractors, electric utilities, and equipment suppliers in various independent energy financings and investments. Many of these deals involve renewable and alternative energy facilities, such as wind-powered electric generating facilities, biomass electric generating facilities, and solar energy projects.
Before joining Morgan Lewis, Jim served as a partner in an international law firm, where he co-chaired its energy industry group.
